Mercury 300X Alien Cowl and Pan!!

I have a 300X cowl and pan for sale. The cowl is in good useable condition as is. It has some light scratches and a couple of very small cracks on one side (see photos). The decal on the front has a rub in it and it is missing one hose grommet. The stainless steel pan is in good condition as well. The pan is useable as is but the paint is coming off in a few places. I have 3 people that want the cowl and pan but I am having a hard time finding a reasonable shipping quote to them. Once I have that sorted out I will contact them in the order that they responded to me with the total and have them say yeah or neah.

Try www.shipbikes.com. it's a front end for fedex ground but with better rates. Or box it and secure to a pallet and use a trucking company.

FYI, Wrap in Bubble wrap and then cover it with cardboard and lots of tape, it will be an odd shape but they wont be able to break it, Then use Fedex ground it shouldnt exceed 100.00

That is my plan but when I went on to their website, I got a quote of $400. plus from Nova Scotia, Canada to Florida plus brokerage fees. I am going to try calling them to see if I can get a better price. I will keep everyone posted.

Get creative here. Wrap it up, throw it in the trunk next time you or a friend makes a trip down into southern New England and hook up with Frank Mole for one of his southbound trips. Even is it meant a couple of piggy backed trips and some delay the cost could be split up and it would be assured of arriving safely. If I was buying it I would be OK with driving a couple of hours to make the connection in order to get it safely and reasonably.
I was the shipper of a Mod VP cowl that never made it to South Carolina, even though we all did everything right, so I am gun-shy about shipping these things.
Or would it be worth the drive and ferry toll to take it across the border and ship it?
Just thinking on the keyboard here, this may make no sense at all.
