Well time for an update. All core is out. Most of the finish sanding is done, there is a little left under the front. The inside was sanded with 60 grit, then a 14" piece of 1700 was laid in the pad up and over the edge and a couple inches out onto, the floor. Then the first course of balsa went in then a cover sheet of 8 1/2 oz biax then a piece of bakers partchment paper a 8" piece of osb and a crapp load of batteries. After that set the rest of the rear half was then given a cover of 8 1/2 oz biax as a base for the core the to be bedded onto.next from the seat box Forword,1700 will take the place of the 8 1/2 oz.

Well today was spent setting the last of the 1700 under the dash, and setting a center strip to keep the balsa from sliding down.I have decided to handle the under dash cover as follows.I will set all of the balsa under the dash weighted down in one day.The next day while I'm still in my recoat time I'll roll a good heavy coat of resin on the balsa and start at the very front with pre wetted 12" strips going from left to right, followed by another with a inch or two overlap and so on till I'm down to the dash area. That will use a little more material but will make it manageable, and somwhat stronger with a double layer of 1700 every 10".
