    Been mixing oil to heavy..

So I’ve been mixing my premix at 1 quart too 10 gallons of fuel...noticed its been idleing horribly. (2.5 200 efi). Have I been mixing it to heavy?

How much fuel too 1 quart of oil?

    That’s about 40:1.
nothing wrong with that & it shouldn’t affect your idle.

Yes, yes, have the flat plugs..no gap. Boat runs amazing on top end..just getting on plane is a huge issue. I hit the throttle and it studders and falls on it's face till it clears itself out then hits and takes off

If compression is good Im guessing stator.

Mine was very similar, turned out to be the stator after trying a ton of other things. I have a huge thread on here about sorting it out. Same symptoms tt ran great when it was on plane but didnt idle strong or seem to have a ton of bottom end. Was almost impossible to start at the end. Finally I swapped out the stator and it sorted itself right out.

Hope this helps ya out some

Mine doesn't have any issue starting. Fires right up. When idleing on the hose, it's running really rich. So rich that you can actually see oil coming out with the water out of the exhaust..

Junk the flat plugs , go to an NGK BR 8 HS gapped at .040” works for me !! 20 plus years ...40:1 IMO is correct mix for 3.50” bore (2.5) 200 pre mix engine ..Try the pennzoil XLF 2 cycle oil , low smoke and great lubrication ...

tps sets with digital volt meter set it on 2 volts but you need the harness the goes between the male female plugs on the tps it a 35.00 item or so off ebay its supposed to be set at .250 but you have some leeway with it fat or lean it coulds also be air temp sensors not working on head or plenum end as well as ecu and low side stator winding's getting weak welcome to efi i love um i hate carburetors

You can run ohm test on just the plug. But I don’t remember the ohms to set it at. You can expect a rainbow in the water as normal operation with premix. An oil slick would be bad.

    so your fine on oil

the other issue is a match to a haystack that seems to be creeping in. I would start by running some thechron or max atomizer or amsoil’s Pi or other (pea) cleaners at 30%+. They work best if allowed to sit and some stabilize as well. It’s a detergent only not a water remover that cleans like heat, sea foam, iso-heat, thermo-aid which are all alcohol methanol, ethanol, propanol ( wood, whiskey, or rubbing) peeing injectors can run rough and cause fuel to not atomize and burn dirty, but spray hard enough at high rpm.

As stated above to properly set the tps with a digital volt meter you need the inline harness (91-816085) Settings as per manual .200 - .300, .240 - .260 is what they advice.
NOTE: make sure to disconnect tan/black leads on port head!
I have also done a check and setting with a DDT, .22 - .26. I run BUZHW and when things are right never an issue.
Also as stated above a peeing injector will be rich down low but will catch and burn fuel up high, a bad air temp could cause issues.
Yes, welcome to EFI sometimes they can really be a major pain but when you get them right hard to beat how they run!!
PS; All above is just my personal opinion and manual specs, NOT a mechanic or engine builder though.......
