I have one that is not the lock in gear model. Worked fine on my 2.5 liters. Learned the 3 liter sporty needs a locking shifter so I bought a new one. N control brand. Came on my boat when I bought it. It looks a lot like the locking model https://www.cpperformance.com/p-1360...t-shifter.aspx. But does not have the spring loaded pin the locks in gear. Let me know if any interest. I can send pics.

Thanks, but definately want the lock in gear option. I didn't realize they sold them without the neutral lock position.

Alrighty. The one i took off my boat may no longer be available. The hull is from the mid 80's so no telling how old the shifter is. The new one I bought locks in 3 positions. F, R and Neutral. Expensive though. These are cheaper but you have to rig something to hold the cable sleeve. https://www.cpperformance.com/p-692-...-controls.aspx

thanks, but I had 1 of those shifters in a previous boat and the geometry of the shifter never seemed right. it seemed there wasn't enough travel in the linkage to go from full forward to full reverse.
