I don't believe there has been a scaled weight. I have asked, with only estimates given. The estimate being #600 give or take. I would guess this current boat is heavier than in the past with good structural build-up and floors (!).
Best I can do is at some point, weigh the trailer, weigh it all complete, subtract the motor weight, which will be a close estimate.
Maybe they have weighed it, but I haven't heard....

Looks great, seems like it floats the engine well too. Now for the important stuff, how fast ?

We hope to achieve 50 mph. Mike is testing props now. A 60 hp motor is a 60 hp motor, rated at maybe 66-67 hp. So balance, motor height & the prop are crucial on fine tuning.
I have said more than once that Mike Biels Promise boat will be a 'runabout' for me. I don't need to be Demeanor fast! (do I lol?) But for certain, I want the best running 60 HO hp 13' boat I can have. This turnkey boat meets USCG regulations, as do the turnkey mini Twisted Liquid Marine boats. Thats all. I think we know this hull can scream and fly.
Lets think of it as the return of the Biel boat. I am lucky to be around at the right time to own one - In deluxe form. It promises to be a good boat. Mike says it jumps out of the hole.
No doubt Demeanors photos and speed make for a killer representation of the Biel Promise boat. Just killer. Go Demeanor!

I'm guessing high 30's, low 40's with the 60. But it looks amazing in the water.
in the 1st picture, did he beach your brand new boat, and pull it up onto the bottom? I'd be flippin mad I wasn't allowed to put the 1st scratch in my 1st boat... or be at the 1st maiden voyage of a boat I just paid for.
Unless you gave him the OK to take your new boat for it's 1st joy ride?1) 1995 14' Bayliner Restoration <--Click

I think joes assessment of 50 will be pretty spot on, my 13’ boat I think weighs around 500lbs with the old tired 40 hp it would do 40 mph.when I had the 60 on it 45 was no problem at all and I was dragging a 20” motor on a 15” transom and was unable to control it past 45 ....... that is one beautiful boat u have there!! btw

I appreciate your concern home made. I will say... the designer, the builder and I are in complete agreement on everything that is happening. Mike as we know, designed it. Geoff has put together a one off custom boat in a surprisingly short amount of time. Its detailed out.
This boat is different than the previous ones. Hull, balance, weight and motor selection have changed.
Mike is realizing the dream of the return of his boat. Its the first one. I am more than happy to have Mike 'test' the boat for prop selection, with the biggest smile he can possibly have on his face. Tear it up. Go Mike! Mike Biel is a good guy.
I will be down asap as I have my own ventures to keep up with.
Edit: I do appreciate the interest in Mike Biels Promise boat. This is the X-1 experimental to get it right for other future owners. Mike puts out a good boat, and in return I will own a nice boat. And I have an ace in the hole.Last edited by Maxacceleration; 04-24-2019 at 01:11 AM.

DGSC< The sos weighed 500? barehull or with engine? my bullet is all glassed up, i weighed it and was 420lbs bare hull, ready to run should be around 800lb with fuel. Hopefully with the 21" transom and the 15" merc formula race she moves nicley, im hoping 60+ should be dooable. Hopefully they can get us some specs of the biel.

I’ve never weighed it but it’s def no tater chip and I beefed it up some too it could be a little under that but I think it’s somewhere in that ballpark, oh and that’s rigged stereo ,interior without a motor btw and those mph numbers I posted earlier were with only a 12x16 pitch Ron hill semi cleaver
