TwzteD, there is not a weight of a bare bones hull. Yet. My hull was weighed when it was in a more deluxe finished condition. Roughly 550.
They want it lighter too.
If you want a performance 13' boat, this is it. Whether its 350 or 500 lbs.
You're gonna power up, right? It will haul azz.
It is a durable boat. I have read some boats have more stability heavier than lighter... Maybe this is one of them?
You take care of it, this boat will last. And fly.
Pick your motor, pick your ratio, and go for it. Get zero feedback steering.
Guaranteed 75 will be hair raising.

I would run a Merc 60 formula race like the the tunnle hull f4s race boats, they see close to 80 with this engine and that's why I'm looking to keep it as light as possible. If they can actually pull off a composite 350lb Biel I'll buy one but until I know for sure what the actual weigh is I'll be waiting to see pics of one.

I can tell you there is/will be a slight re-tool of the mold. The next Biel hull/boat owner will have improvements over mine.
A good thing, although mine is fine. It will be composite as I hear, and lighter.
I would guess (and only a guess), the next hull will be produced in months time.
Been boating with Mike for three days straight.
Edit: Truly I do not know the time frame of the next Biel boat.Last edited by Maxacceleration; 09-09-2019 at 05:20 PM.

How much fun can you have at 45 mph??? Lol A bunch in Mike Biels boat. What a fun boat.
Pretty good in rough water. 1-2 feet wave & rollers? Not bad! Adjust the trim to plant it then lighten it up for cush. Amazing stability too.
Surprised me.
We know what it can do... For a recreational husband & wife, its a fun moderate boat also.
Somebody buy one! Should I be the only one?

I think they're great boats, but for me, it would have to be 15 feet long and maybe the front would have to be pickle forked for a more modern look. Still a great boat though.

I love the boat, fits in a garage, has good performance, can run shallow water, decent ride in the chop. What are they rated for H.P. (not counting Mr Dermeanor )

Not been able to post on this thread - not sure on the why's & hows...
Winter is here and I believe forward progress is trying to be maintained. Biels focus is on weight on his next.
Winter would be a good time to get onboard for a fun boat in the spring.
I hope to have changes on my boat too.

I am glad to hear that Biel Boats is on the move. Mike has a new boat underway, and a new builder too. Laveycraft I believe.
His hull will have more upgrading in manufacture and performance. I like how Mike is keeping up. Heck, maybe I will sell mine and update!
And another lucky new owner on the horizon.
I think there will be a couple of stripper boat options too. The time is now.
And I have another prop to test when it warms up. Chasing more rpm's now. With my short 2019 summer, I was just getting a feel for the boat. Solo or with the wife it has been enjoyable.

I have been keeping in touch with the Mike Biel over the months. His next boat is underway, well at least the mold getting reworked slightly at this point.
I think there is the chance for the next owner to spec a color on this, or it will just go spec on color as Mike Biel wants it. They will go over my boat to see where weight can be saved and layout in the floor as I understand. I believe there will be upgraded more modern materials too. So lighter and keeping a good price point.
I should be powering up on mine too.
