one of a kind American Multi Craft 18 Ft??

I own a 1982 American Multi Craft 18 Ft twin-tunnel hull which I bought in 1991. The USCG sticker says it was manufactured in Monterey CA, but someone told me that American Multi Craft (MIC:AMQ) was also registered as Five Star MFG in Sacramento CA. I am wondering how unique this boat is and maybe some of the manufacturing techniques the factory used.

Boat is USCG rated for 185 HP. It has a 175HP Mercury Black Max (fresh water use only) with low hours. I bought the 1977 motor in 2000 and have put about 20 hours on the motor. I have put in new gear/clutch set in lower unit, new stator and ignition coils - parts/labor totaling $2763. I have also rebuilt the carbs. Motor runs good. Boat is real solid. Transom has been stiffened to handle the manual jack plate. Trailer is built with U-channels and rust free and solid. I'm planning to sell it and want to establish a fair price. What do you think this boat is worth?

Any other websites I should request info on?

had a customer that had one when I lived on west shore Lake Tahoe early 1980's.think it had 90 force/Chrysler,way under powered, after reprop and smaller jets, motor ran good but at 6200' still a dog.MULTICRAFT because they came with mast/sail/ oars/oar locks. could motor it /sail it/ row it. kids hated it.couldn't ski behind it.got rid of it before that winter set in. i'm sure yours will be better at sea level and with more power.suspicious of dole fin and jack.-th good luck

Shelter Point, a hi&dry marina on Woodcleft canal in Freeport, L.I. sold them back in the 80's Seemed like a cutting edge concept back then: Sail, row,or outboard power. I can here the salesman now, "so when you run out of gas just hoist the sail and you'll cruise home" Nobody sailed them but they where ok with Chrysler 125 power.

Yeah, my boat is not a sail or row boat. I have never seen a boat like this. We have ski'd behind it and it is fun with the different multiple wakes. My 175 HP makes it fly. It cut through rough water like a knife. I have a kill-cord on my body because in turns it can throw your out if you cut it too tight. What a fun, make your heart pound boat but I'm 65 and retired and this boat is a little too much fun (for my 65 year old heart)!
Who can I consult on what "my baby" is worth?

If the boat is clean, unmolested, and runs strong I'm thinking $4-6K????? Just guessing......

Thanks bouyhead! I'll try to get a few more opinions on what its worth before I post it "For Sale". I was guessing $3500 so that might be attainable. I'll offer possible delivery for just gas money

I am actually contemplating landing a MultiCraft that is for sale near me. I have a fondness that cannot be cured for the old relic tunnel hulls! - LoL
