Troy, I forgot that you guys ran across with us as well. Brent and I were passing everyone trying to catch Nick. They are absolutly amazing in the rough at speed for a short boat.

This project is finally getting into its final stages "I was told today that my seats are getting covered", you can see from the first 3 pictures that the paint was updated so it doesn't roll over the front of the deck. I scrapped the twin idea due to the fact that I was going to cut the transom bustles to expose more transom, and we were going to extend the running surface (way too much time) so I am going with a hopped up 300R/Porta bracket and Garmin display. Really looking forward to running this boat and getting it sorted out with a 4 stroker on the back. What a pile of work, -- I hope we get to where it can keep up with traffic...

Very nice!.... Love the LCB sport decks... Are they basically a true tunnel? That is a very shallow center pod... Good luck with the build...300R would be awesome!

They run like a true tunnel and appear much larger then they are when coming at you. You are looking down a big tunnel and they have big sponsons.

    Cougar
The plug boat was build in the shop when one of the last large race boats Errol did was being completed.

"I am going with a hopped up 300R/Porta bracket"

What is a hopped up 300R ? Has someone come up with a "tune" for one? Or motor mods?

Cool deal!!! I knew it wouldn't be long before someone started trying things with that motor.

I would love to go 4-stroke V8, but going 300xs to 300R is not enough reason for me to do that yet. The 450R is heavy and lots more $$.

    Nice BOAT!!!!
I think all of those boats in the pictures were running in the 85 mph range (bottom one of Johnny was a bit more). I am shooting to have this one run 100 with 4 people, fuel and loaded "anytime and every time" it might be a taller order then I can fill but we will find out.

Yeah...they look as tall or taller than a skater 21 but wider like a Swedish twister hull... very nice!

Yes, Errol ran the Benihana Cougar race boat and these tunnels are the same as that boat was.
