As well as jackplate, i has several props to try depending of the way hull lifts. From choppers to 3 and 4 blade cleavers. 24 to 30 pitch. So i hope it will go.
On old boats no one here knows the max rating so you just tell the insurance the hull no and how many horses. On new hulls it is different.
Our waters is almost only open sea. We are a small country with sea almost all the way around.
i have a 14 SS Sidewinder with a 90 hp Johnson V-4. I am running a 24 Raker and it spins up to 6,800. What I think it really needs is a 26 pitch four blade cleaver. The boat has it’s original delta pad and is a real handful starting at about 58 mph.

We rigged ours with a 90 Merc and a 24" chopper. Went a bit nuts in the mid range but if you drove through it the boat settled back down...

    Update
Now the winder has been out 5 times, testing props and weight distribution. Topspeed so far 81 with cleaver but lots of power left. I think 90 is in reach if i get it right.
Sofar the hull has done good. No spider cracks
