Ok so I had a idea.

I get so tired of messing with stern light. stop pull out of locker plug in bla bla bla
remember the old power antennas for older cars had the hollow tube mast.
Was thinking mount it out of sight run wire up thru it with small leds on top wire motor to a relay which powers up when switch turned on.will need some small cover that it comes up through and maybe powder coat to match boat paint.
Just thinking here. Will also need a light tension spring loaded spool to retract wire when lowering.

Those power lights are junk.... the wire is on a retractor and the wires always break and the brush contactors corrode.

Thats exactly what i want! To bad sold out. 1017 I dont think with good heat shrink and under cover i will have the trouble like you see. Im not in Florida Im on fresh water lake.
