    Evinrude 150 Intruder

    Gidday guys.

My dad has one of the first Evinrude 60 degree block Intruder 150s on his pride and joy.

It has a set of Boyesen reeds in it, but is stock standard otherwise. I recall someone on this site telling me the 1st thing to do to wake these engines up was to change the jets, but unfortunately can't find the old thread.

    Anyone got any advice?

    Thanks and regards to all.

I'm not familar with mods to the rudes, but changing only jets will just make it run rich , prob what needs b done is shave heads and up jets accordingly, prob sum airbox tricks , stuffers for reeds, theres a few good omc guys lurking round ,,I'm sure they will help out when they see this ,, the motor has to start out with a good bill of health or these mods could finish it off

Stock engine run stock jets. Changing from stock will not help power on a stock engine and still be reliable.
