    Mercury 2004 200 XS with Sportsmaster/Fat shaft

    if the prop have replaceable hubs then use the fat shaft insert. been doing it since 2004. there are some over the hub props that you cant use but the restriction is small vs the pluses of using this motor. hi reving motor that can get 7.4 mpg on a hydrostream voyager or grand sport Allison

    i call the 2004 a second gen since merc made many changes in 2004. its considered a better motor than the 2001 to 03. my 2 2004 200xs are flawless since 2004. they are also 2 serial numbers apart.
