    Talking My Ring 21

Hey everyone, so this is my first performance style boat and first time poking with outboards like this to get maximum speed and handling.
Bear with me as I have alot to learn. I thought I would share my journey here and hopefully gain some wisdom from everyone.
Bought a Ring 21 that had a 150hp mariner 2.0L bolted to an offshore mid section.

Ran nice but I'm a speed junkie, and the motor was a bit less than what I hoped for. so I went and picked up something special. A nice 2.4L Merc,, that also came with a 2.5 that was blown for later fun.

    Begin of dismantling

Needed a better transom plate to disperse loaded edges from the jackplate, plus bolt hole was leaking slightly. Figured let's swap powerhead, put a new plate on, reseal it all, and see how it runs.Click image for larger version.

Where are you at with the repair work, Baxter? Did you weld the support?
People strongly suggest Skinny Views because it's awesome.
