things are going to be slow rolled for a while due to life happening. Appreciate all the interest in this thread. I will post pics as things do slowly progress.

finally did a test fit of all the transom jack pieces and check to the hull. A few changes to make before disassembly and final powder coating...
Bolts are temporary. Final hardware not purchased yet

Some "lightening" holes in the pc against the trans would not make a big difference but would be "racer" correct. Everything mounted on a boat in the 70's had holes in it.....Nice looking bracket and should be super strong.

I have the original brackets that were used( not salvageable) and these match them pretty damn close. No lightening holes in the originals

all the transom jack parts back from powder coating. Test assembly for fit and clearances done. Next to mount it on the boat.

intial height set. Just about 1 inch below the top of the bullet. Good place to start.

HAd to lay out the deck decals for a few days to flatten out, figured I would stick a few on the boat. All decals are reproduced from the originals.

steering helm and parts finally received and fitted. Sent out for powder coating. In the meantime, time for some bling for the deck... recreations of the original gel coat work on the boat.
