Been working on the string steering geometry and have figured out the right bend for the wing plates as well as the front pulley placements. Had to design and fabricate an oak block to mount the front pulleys to the inside of the angled hull so that they received the cable from the helm on the right angle and fed it out to the rear motor wing plates as well. All is good. Everything is through bolted and stainless steel. Once mock up is done it will be torn back down and the wood blocks sealed with west system and everything sealed and bolted up.

steering cable in for the first test fit. A few changes need to be made. Bending the straight wing plates up reduced the angle it can pull for steering a bit. Probably fab a new set of wing plates that are wider to correct that.
Pulley blocks work as designed, plenty of clearance for the cable to bounce around a bit and not hit anything. Probably adjust the drum up on the steering shaft a bit as well.
Deck clearance on the cable is good as well.
That it why you mock it up....

It looks like the ends of the wings are a long way above the tilt pivot tube. Is that an optical illusion?
