Next Project- 1972 Vampire FJ boat restoration thread.....

Finally bit th ebullet and made the 2500 mile round trip to pickup the next project. Boat was never titled and made as a race boat . Very competitive inthe Midwest in the mid 1970's. Willbe fully restored with correct motor and riging. Stay tuned.....

BTW the pictures are not upside down on my computer.... no idea why you need to stand on your head to view these.... LOL...

    What cool!

    Love that era and class.
IMO, kinda what started the hi po vee bottom craze.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Tom, on my computer, I clic/enlarge the pic, right clic/save, I then open them in preview (mac) I clic the rotation arrow enough times to get the picture right side up, then go to file and save. on my desktop, when I clic save, you can watch the upside down picture flip over. Then I re-post .............. "Piece of cake"

this picture was right side up, so I made it like yours.

The lip over deck to hull connection makes life much easier, unless it's glued or glassed on. imo..
The flat surface type like Hydrostream used is a bit more challenging or at least mine was.

Love these old boat restore threads, especially with pictures !!
