Swing Away Trailer Tongue Hinge
Anybody use one?
Thinking of cramming a bassboat into a 20' garage for the winter. Would have to install swing type tongue hinge to do so.
I have a couple tilt trailers, and don't care for the slop and clunking when driving down the road.
Wondering how much slop and play one of these has compared to a tilt trailer?
Thank you for insight!

The ones I have built have no slop. I am not near pics right now but will see if I can find some tomorrow at shop if you are interested.

A neighbor has one, I asked the same, no complaints from him, but I haven't driven the tow vehicle.

I have one on one of my trailers. There is no slop if you get a well built one.

Wow! Quick responses! Thanx. Thought I'd wait longer being down this far on the list. Any suggestions on manufacturer?

I had one that was decent. It had a good size swivel pin, 3/4" or so and two latch pins approx 5" apart. It worked well. Curious to see some of the pics of home designs this is a feature worth learning about because ya never know when space becomes tight again

Those fulton look great! The one I had must have been home made or something I looked for pics but couldn't find. It had two latch pins, the swing hitch was slip fit over the tongue for one, and the second looked a like that Fulton one up front if you can picture that? A triangle connection with the pivot being one pin and the catch being two pins. Maybe overkill I dunno its the only one I used and I didnt have it long

Not being critical but how does that thing close. Looks like there is a bolt head in the way unless it goes over top of it.
