Reputable company for rebuilt powerhead or motor
Hey guys! Brand new here! I have a 97 Procraft bass boat with a 225 Mercury EFI that I blew a hole in the block. I’ve been saving up to rebuild a powerhead and just found out the person doing it has passed away.
Now I’m looking for someone new to do it, or just to buy a complete remanufacted motor. 8k is all I’m willing to spend. Any word on reputable shops out there?
I’ve heard of Blackbird motors and Duck Creek Marine.....
Any and all advice is appreciated!

I guess I should mention I’m not looking for high performance. My boat ran 72 on a light load before it blew. That’s all I’m looking for!

Mr. Perry is very good at all motors. Fishin to race. Avoid Blackturd at all costs.

I'll throw Jay Smith in here as well. Perry, Driefort, Carson, Jay are all good ones.
