    This is THE LAST DeSilva race boat. DeSilva built himself a race boat in 1928 and people begged him for copies, starting 90 years of production. His son Ralph says he is done.

    Wow, what a history.

    One of the prettiest runabouts ever built and unbeatable in their era.
    I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

    Always loved the look of the DeSilva runabouts. My McCall had much the same look. Never got the chance to drive a DeSilva.

    90 years of Hurtin KNEEs..... Got my first one in 1967.......Musta been 20 years old then..... round transome and corner braces cast that said..... DeSilva..... A all plywood boat. 13 footer with narrow top. My next one was a 14 FFR boat from Bill Fales.....Ran a Mk 75 H in the bay..........Last one I got From Sam MK 75H ....13 kr....still waiting for a test run........Re built it 13 years ago.... Time flys.....
