Fuel Line
What fuel line is everyone using? Gonna replace everything from my tanks to the
motor including from pulse pump to filter and back to vst. I’ve used the gray merc stuff but it’s just to flimsy for my liking. Got some stuff off amazon that turned fuel bright orange lol. I need somethin good.

Be careful of some (cheap) hoses with barrier lining. Seen it bunch up when pushed on to barbed type fittings causing severe restriction.

You have to have the barrier lining to be ethanol proof. And stop permeation.

Napa alcohol resistant ( probably made by gates) high pressure fuel hose used in fuel injection applications which use clamps is readily available, inexpensive, and seems to work for me. It has much more "backbone" than other fuel lines I have run into. If your lucky, and need a tight turn, the end of the roll where hose is tucked into the center works good if you don't have the time to wait for factory hose pieces at 12-15 bucks each. My parts guy gives me the bent end pieces for no charge if I buy a foot or two for my projects. Just make sure hose is not pinched closed. Some of the more expensive fuel lines are sold by the inch...... At nearly 70 cents per!

Yeah I don’t know why it’s says that now. I’ve been running it for ten years. Have run non ethanol, e10, e85, and 112, and have never had any issues. Hasn’t broke down, leaked, or dry rotted. I would think there is some sort of liability mumbo jumbo involved. Do as you will. I love the stuff.

Also more ive used is oem Yamaha off of the old 2stk yam 1200 watercraft never seen any get rotten or hard ever. out of working on 1000.s pwcs never seen any need replaced and man does it stick tight on fittings its also grey. isn't grey industry standard color for alcohol resistance line?

I use Shields hose at the shop, one of the best, Trident is good too. Any hose with a liner we stay away from. The Parker Pushlok stuff is best for oil lines like inboard transmission lines and gas I/O and inboard oil lines and diesel fuel lines, although some people use it for gas without issues.

Also, make sure it’s USCG approved if your boat is insured. If for some reason a leak developes and is the cause of a fire, and it’s discovered that USCG approved hose wasn’t used, they don’t have to cover the loss.

Type A1-15 rated fuel line is meant for alcohol based fuels (E10) and to have fuel in the line all the time without breaking down. Trident or shields are popular marine brands. I used this on my new fuel tank installation and it's worked just fine. No issue with ethanol.
