Just did this to my 300 but I won't be able to run it until spring.... Interested to see what your gains are!

I drove a 300 with 1.62 gears and one without, both on properly setup Xb21’s, and holeshot and
acceleration are very noticeable. Just hoping my 250 has similar added quickness

Was thinking about doing the same to my 250xs but all the mixed reviews have me second guessing if it's worth it. Keep us posted

So it was cold windy and damp so I couldn’t push the boat hard. Holeshot was solid but not life changing different. I can tell it is better because if I the boat wanted to lay on its side of trimmed all the way under up trim didn’t seem to keep up as well.

I ran a prop i could put on the limiter before and turned similar rpms at a more conservative trim number so I think there is likely an extra mph in ideal conditions but I didn’t go for it today with the wind and no chase boat.

i think the kit for the 300 had a more noticeable gain

Even though it's your cowl it made me cringe a little seeing that window pic. More power to you I don't think I'd have the heart to make those cuts but then again its all in the name of more power
