    Smartcraft gages

I had my SS2000 re-powered with a NOS 200XS in August. My intent was to keep my old gages until my wallet recovered from the shock.

But as luck would have it, my speedometer crapped out. 86 on my phone GPS shows about 50 on the speedometer. The pito tube and line look OK.

So I guess it's time to upgrade to smartcraft. The speedo pictured on Merc's website only reads to 80. Is there a different speedometer I need?

I'd like to plug 3.5" round gages into the existing holes. It could be different if I was starting with a new dash.

The speedo on the Merc website only goes to 80 mph

That is a system link gauge.
you need a master to drive it.
There is a harness available that will drive that gauge, then any multitude of these system link gauges.
Just check first, i am not 100 % sure, if you are able to have some old style analogue gauges and these system link gauges running simultaneously.

Sure you can for less than $70.

You can run both a Smartcraft VesselView or any of the Smartcraft gauges with old school analog ones that will lie to you.

I believe a paddle wheel and sensor with line needs to be ordered as well does it not with the 200 xs off shore ? . Someone more knowledgeble may have a better understanding on the application . Is a GPS Speedo not a better choice , just putting it out there .

This gauge does need input from either a gps/paddle wheel or pitot tube pick up

While on this topic my current boat has analog gauges and engine(2002 496-HO) is Smartcraft. I would like to replace the tach and speedo(80mph) with added GPS for speedo. Can this be done and if so what do I all need. Would like gauge face like in post #8

    thanks

I know they are pricey but I bit the bullet & replaced all the gauges in my GS with Smartcraft compatible Livorsi VanatgeView. So far they have performed flawlessly. RR

The speedo looks good. Does it come in black? All my other Gage's are white on black bacground. Having said that a tach/multi function gage would be cool. Our Etec has a speedo and tach with dials, but both have digital displays at the bottom that can be set to show just about anything.
