Sonny's Fishing Station - Seaford, Long Island Petition

Hi all,

Growing up on Long Island, Sonny's Fishing Station was a big part of our boating, and it seems like everybody we ever knew would frequent the "gas dock" as we always called it. It's a family-owned business and it would be a shame to see it go away after all these years. If anybody would like to sign the petition, the link is below. I signed it because they're really the only on-water gas station in the Seaford/Massapequa area. Anybody that went boating in that area - and especially the canal that runs along Seaman's Neck Island, will almost certainly know the place.

seems to me that the cities and towns should look at situations like this and give automatic variances when they change the code......................

I remember as a kid going to Browns in Amityville. Good old mom and pop place.

We had a similar situation down here. The city bought the Marina and invested about 4m of tax payers money and leased it out to a private party.It's been a real blessing for everyone.
The owners were paid well for the property.
