250 XS vs 300 XS
I've got an '05 250 XS. What's the difference between the 250 and the 300? I guess what that really means is that I'm looking for for H.P. Thanks

You are correct Mr. Chaz. Dunno what the HP diff was from the 91 octane motor to the 87 but my 2005 250XS was a stump puller. Had a 2017 250XS and seat of the pants feel says probably 40 hp. 2013 300xs vs 2005 250XS....I wouldn't walk across the street for the difference. As a matter of fact I think the shorter stroke 250XS was quicker out of the ditch. No data just from running same props and set ups on all three.

I had a 2005 250xs on a 21 checkmate. I took a 2007 300xs off it to put on my new boat. The boat was faster with the 250. Now in all fairness, with the 250 it was set up for speed instead of all around use set up when the 300 was on it. A 2005 250xs is a good one tho.
