I think it is just thin fiberglass, i am guessing to help with air flow. Oh and high speed tape.

Yes that boat with Tommy Dunn's motors has won over ten Mod Production world championships ,

Doc Tripp still owns the boat but it stays at Dunn's shop , don't think it will ever leave

The second place boat was also a Tommy Dunn motor

Dave with his little 2.5 beat all those big cube motors, he was beat off the line , but reeled them in on top end !
Asked Dunn how was that possible, he said lots more RPM's and efficiency, some of them were close to twice

    the size.

I don't believe it was a billet motor , CRT are making lot of parts for sale , someone with some knowledge should post.

Jimmy Clouser won Pro Mod with a Tommy Dunn motor , the unfortunate part was he was forced beat his teammate Kirk Merritt (Tommy Dunn motor) twice to get the win , Kirk was the second fastest boat by my stop watch, but was forced to run Clouser so was out . the only reason Clouser had a loss was the red light came on then went green and the other boat got a jump on him. They had more problems with the lights on Saturday and Jimmy made an stink about a issue at the Sunday drivers meeting, about had Jerry Freeman crying , so I was suspect of the red to green deal Sunday

Lmao, That’s funny !!! Any idea why the Red light came on and then went Green?
Its because that’s the way the system works when your charging the light and run over 7.5 MPH.....
Yep, I was in the other lane and beat him....

I'm not familiar with the new light set up, I've worked the starting barge about 8 times when it was off to the side, I'll ask tomorrow, my question is how come Jerry did not call it a red light and put a strike against him and make you turn around and run a clean start, because he got a full loss VS a strike which is wrong, he had no red lights on Sunday.

We could tell from the finish line you got a good jump on him, a rule was broken then by Jerry, giving you a win.
