What about the Gulf coast? I know a lot of our coastal waters have so much mud/sediment you can't see 2" in front of you but come on man we don't wanna be left out.

I have family in Panama City. They are gonna get slammed for sure! It's gonna be bad.....Lot of houses right on the waterfront all along that area. Lot are old cracker families like mine, and won't leave.... I bet if your laid up with her during a hurricane you would never notice a hurricane came thru the area. What a bod.....

They're old tough crackers Fujimo...Concrete house, metal roof...They were shuttered up tight, and prepared..Only lost a screen porch at the back of the house. Just ripped right off the house. Located close to Tindall AFB. (it was trashed!) They have been thru a few canes and said that this one was just incredible. Crap load of trees down, no power or water. But every ones OK. Looks like i'm having house guests for a while....This area was really beautiful and will take decades to bring back. Really sad...

Glad to hear they are ok. We survived Irma last year as well. The eye came threw one mile from our place. I thought the Keys looked bad but what I’m seeing on news is frightening. I agree it will be decades before it resembles what it once was. Thoughts and prayers to everyone.

Its a mess down there. Yep, take decades to return to what was normal. Remember back Illinois Plainfield tornado. Lived 15 miles away, but many friends there. What a mess, and decades old trees snapped at the base. It don't look much diff down there. Even if house still standing, be months before all services resolved. And many lost everything. Feel sorry for those involved...

WOW, sounds like a lot of damage was done. How strong was the Hurricane when it hit. I thought it was just a Cat 1.
