It is a 13 or a 15? Cool boat! I love that you and your dad made it a two seater!!!

One thing I would do, is look at a jackplate that would better suit your needs. The only plates I see that Bob's has are way over kill (for 300hp heavy motors), less the 40hp jackplate which isn't enough.... ?

You can move weight around in the boat that may help. Where are the fuel tank and battery?

How about some pictures of the bilge when finished? Any running pics?

I would get power trim but it's a short shaft and they're really hard to find. The best thing I've found is CMC and it's around $600

Put a L brace on the green board. Flatys don't really need setback. Just a good surfacing prop.

6 inch jack plate with a 60hp twin and you'll be fine, but if your not sure then just add 2 extra knee's and put them up as high as you can and long as you can within reason. you want these about 4 inches outside what will be the bolt holes for the jack plate at the top.. if you dont want to add too much extra weight then cut some large circles out the wood and just seal everything with resin of your choice.. you will have a much stiffer boat with 2 knee's rather than just that small short one on their now. and it will be a stronger transom that could hold a 125hp easy.
