Bullet 1750 - small speaker install question

Hey guys, I have a Bullet 1750 and I'm wanting to install a couple of these 4" speakers here just behind the windshield, unsure if it's wise to cut a hole in this part of the boat though. Doesn't seem very structural but what would I know... any Bullet gurus in here know these boats well enough to comment?

    Cheers!

Not a bullet guru, or an anything guru for that matter. Installing aftermarket stuff by cutting holes in a nice boat or anything for that matter, usually decreases value, aesthetics, and can turn off future buyer. To each their own. If you do decide to cut, or drill, masking tape first over work areas can help reduce chances of cracking gel coat while performing said work. Perhaps think of a stealthy stereo approach..... Sounds killer..... Where the hell is it coming from? Bass travels through stuff, highs can be reflected. Had a 67 nova that previous owner put speakers in door panels and destroyed them! Had a 70 gto someone opened up holes for 6x9 speakers in package tray area. All I could think was WHY!!!! Not nice! My .02

It will no longer be structural if you cut a big hole in it. It will be a weak point.

Thanks guys, I've since been told that the area in question will be fine with a speaker hole cut in it as it's not at all structural, but have decided to instead run some boxed speakers in the sides wells, rather than cutting holes

Best idea, in my opinion. You will thank yourself for not cutting holes!
