    honda tech

    2004 Honda 130hp EFI, (running out of fuel at high rpm's) anyone know how to take high pressure fuel test and what #s to look for? can't find a Schrader valve anywhere. thanx in advance-th

    Can’t remember is exact, most issues I saw were cam related or physical damage. Solid as their cars and bikes.

    Schrader should be be on the fuel rail by the injectors on the intake befor the return regulator. Think it’s 15 psi maybe 30. Don’t remember if it’s the car or bike based for that year.

    You need a special fitting to check fuel pressure, no schrader on that motor. There is a filter on the VST behind three screws, a triangular cover. Will cause fuel starvation if clogged. Also a filter on the high pressure pump in the VST. Try the return filter first. Easy to check. Fuel pressure is around 35 psi.

    thank you,figured on getting an adapter to fit their small port.also found rusted pump/plugged screen in vst.parts on the way.thanx-th

    Make sure you also replace the return filter behind the three screws.
