Wayne Worthy's New HydroTech Yamaha powered Talon 22 SS

This boat belongs to Wayne Worthy of HydroTec Marine and will be getting a 400 HP Yamaha that they will be using to get a base line with...and then they will jump to 450 HP & eventually 500 hp will be under way. The boat will debut at Jasper Tennessee with the 400 hp motor. Stay tuned for more details.

Right now the motor is NA. It will be having a supercharger added once a base line is set with the 400 hp. The gearcase is a Sporty and has custom made 1.62 gears in it.

I use to race F2 with Wayne and his son Nathan, so I have known them a long time. When Wayne called me up and asked to have us build this boat and the kind of horsepower they were going to pour to it, I was like a kid on Christmas day.

I can not give out all the info. yet, as it is still in the early stages, but hot rodders will be able to buy a Talon set up with this motor combination very soon from Wayne.

No, we did a standard 1200 lb. lay up. We want to see what that would do first. Infused Epoxy is being offered by Talon Powerboats now, so we will be seeing some light weight builds before to long. Thanks
