Yup that’s me
I could do the same for Mr. Nunziato but that’s not the point here! But if that’s all you got ok public information buddy, I got nothing to hide. Sure would love to see your response if you were running the throttles when this motor was run last? When was this boat last raced ? When were they run last?
Pretty sure buying public is aware of you guys are currently selling junk! Have a great day!

Then why
Maybe was legit previously but sold me an as new blown up powerhead, then of course I still need a good spare, so I offer to buy 2nd as new powerhead with me present for pre inspection and or pay diamond marine ( his builder btw) to check out engine at my expenses but no response from your legit seller. Why is that?

Overwhelming work load, no boat (boat was still a month out, shipped from New Zealand) low priority basically. Never intended to run it, till rebuild by Jay Smith. Didn’t send to Jays immediately because Seller didn’t send studs. Finally received a month later, opened crate to throw in studs and seen the as new drop on was a little rough visually, alternator had rusty debris all around pulley bearings and flywheel. Tried to spin flywheel by hand no movement, alternator seized, no biggy, pulled plugs to read tip and found they were brand new, odd he’d replace plugs on 10 hours motor prior to shipping knowing my plan was to rebuild. Popped heads off and saw why of course.
After speaking with seller no dout he knew what he sent. Had I opened and saw condition 5 minutes after receiving I’d be in same position, no doubt. I trusted his word that he installed new rotating every season, verified previous history of multiple sales of rotating assemblies.
Couldn’t find any history of him racing since 2014, so figured it best to let potential buyers know what he sent me. Keep in mind Robert Nunziato has never responded here, just his cronies. Seams other buyer have received as advertised engines but this is what I got.

A few things I can't understand about your story
1 why would you pay $8k for motor with 10hrs just to have someone else to rebuild it. Why not buy a blown motor for $2k.
2 this is your first time doing business with this guy. You just spent $8k you receive motor and Don t even take a peek at what you just spent $8k on you wait a month to look.
3 where are the pictures. Your spending $8k did you not ask for pictures of powerhead before buying so you have some kind of comparison to what you receivedLast edited by 2jz; 01-18-2019 at 09:27 PM.

better understanding
I’d rather pay more and start with an unmolested powerhead, never had any luck financially nor lead time trying to get blocks renic/ re-sleaved, or rebuilding someone else’s blown up motors . Last few I had issues with block repair was poor honing to bottom of bore causing piston to cock and scored at bdc, other was decked so much pistons came out about block surface, had to run thicker 1.5 mm gaskets.
Last motor complete drop on I bought here was a 0 hour rebuild by Ruck before retiring supposedly, ran it about an hour on break in till melted pistons, once I pulled apart it was had issues that simple tear down inspection , could of prevented. Guy refund money once I took it to his recommend local builder Jay Smith. His word were his neighbors 10 year old could of assembled better.
Rebuild on suposed 10 race motor to me is no brainer, tear down, mic bore, check for out of round, send out injectors, replace reeds, new bearings, rings and balancing rotating assembly is minimum.
When I get a chance to play I play hard, so I like my stuff ready. If it breaks I’ll have a drop on replacement done in hour & half at my boat house.
The rest is my poor judgement, didn’t match pictures, knew I was screwed once I opened and refund would very unlikely.

Yes my # is 409-739-6875, Also guy LA Marine had to see condition , I had to pay him to crate pallet so a shipper would pick up. He just pulled studs sat on pallet with racket straps.
