    01 Drag

My 01 svs drag runs great except when it is wide open. When I'm running down the lake 70-80 mph then floor it it changes pitch, kinda sounds ragged and feels like it is laboring. Needless to say i back out immediately. It runs sharp and sounds great if i stay just under wide open. I don't nail it very often because the xr02 is my lake cruiser and i don't go much over 100-115 and all you have to do is crack it open a little to get there.
Any ideas as to what to check out?
    Thanks

Check to make sure you have at 56 lbs of fuel pressure. Filters all good, vents clean and clear

Running the stock pump, Think its a Walborough I haven't had time to dig up the paperwork. The pump motor Is on top of a 3x3 black aluminum block with a
Kinsler screen filter on the inlet. I have pinched the return line and it will make way more than 56 lbs . I have noticed sometimes when I turn the key on it will run longer than the normal 5-10 seconds before it stops , that made me think of the regulator but I haven't caught it acting up with a gauge.
Thanks again for all the ideas it will keep me busy when I get a day off sometime.
I guess it could be a bad injector, every time I have them cleaned it seams one needs replaced.

If you decide to get the injectors cleaned and checked out send them to Trae Appling here
    http://www.injector911.com/

Checking the air temp sensor is a good idea too as was posted earlier. A DDT can tell you what it’s reading
