1997 2.5 260

Hey guys. Decided to get rid of this 260 I bought awhile back. Originally it was going to replace my promax on my lavey craft but that damn motors been running so good all summer I decided why mess up a good thing for 8mph. So the 260s for sale.


Has 96 original hours. I went through everything when I got it. Injectors serviced by Brucato. Pulled heads cylinders look immaculate. New head gaskets. Pulled power head and replaced base gaskets. New fuel pressure regulator. New yellow tygon bleed and vacuum lines. Motors bone stock aside from a drag cut tuner in the midsection. Leakdown was 5-7% on all cylinders and compression was 130-133 on all 6. Ran it on the stand and it was running extremely rich so I sent the ecu to Brucato to have it tested and apparently the map sensor is bad. Not sure if they can be replaced or what or if it needs a new ecu. Other than that motor is mint and ready to go. No lower unit but the offshore mid is super cherry. Cowlings in good shape. Have fuel pump and trim pump for it. Shoot me a text for more pics or questions. Also have a couple vids of it running. 714-742-3275
