I REALLY havent checked valvebelow starter, once year ago . i could feel and hear it puffin , into the remote tank. it would seem my engine tank alarm would sound , it is working. that is just air line into remote cap, couldnt really pull up oil unless remote was over filled? i drained the vst , blew thru ck valve, smoking seemed to have cut way down. idles good now. also aligned oil pump marks to merc photos. i tryed to read fuel pressure @ wot, impossible. 40 lbs at idle. cant hold it wide open. i know it will turn 6300 when it feels like it! LOL.

that valve is a "one way pluse".. if bad it will go both ways.. it will pull on one stroke and push on another.. it will eventually pull oil inta tha crankcase.. if tha motor tank is stayin' full then its probably ok.. remote, dash gauge is really only "safe" way ta watch pressure... its old.. jus gotta tinker with it a lot more.. kinda like 'ole folks and doctors..

To check the engine mounted air supply valve to the big oil tank, remove the valve/hose nipple and blow back thru it. If it flows air it's bad. It's just a simple check valve.

ILL do that. 1 question when i turn my key off, fuel rail is pressurized should injectors stop/ close flow immediately? if they continued to drip/ leak that would explain it running great but sit for 24 hrs and rich startup. seems longer it sits richer it gets. i called tony nobody home. ill do that air valve deal. thanks, ART
