streaming from windows 10 box to Samsung Bluray player
I decided to set up a box to be a media server. I have an ASROCK mb, Intel dou-core 3.06 ghz cpu, 8 gigs of RAM, a 1TB Sata3 HDD, a 2TB Sata3 (storage with music and MP4 videos) and Windows 10 with the media streaming turned on.. The box is hooked up to my Comcast modem direct, My Samsung Bluray player (new) is hooked up to the same modem. Watching Netflix through the bluray player, I have no problems. If I try watching an MP4 movie off the server box through my bluray player, it will pause every so often for a few seconds like it's buffering then resume.
Are there any settings I need to adjust?"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors". Plato .

Did some research, found no answers yet.... If I play the movies on the computer using Windows Media Player, have no buffering/pausing issues. I tried removing the 2 TB hdd and putting everything on one hdd and it had no change. I'm convinced it's not the computer (media server). It must be in the modem or media player in the Bluray player but there are no user adjustable buffering on the Bluray player........ that I know of.
Any help would be appreciated"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors". Plato .
