in fla can you use your boat to blow out a hole to let your boat sit in at low tide?
I brought up this subject at a dredge meeting and people tended to cringe on the subject as being not allowed. from the old days of owning a large vessel I remember it as commonplace. we here in north fla are plagued with silt continually filling in our canals, I can use some big props to blow out a hole to allow a large vessel to not have props and thru hulls sit down in the muck, just not sure if some new new rules don't allow this??? too busy bustin my ass to try and maintain a good credit rating. any advise would be appreciated. fun out

ive used a small outboard at wot with it locked over to one side or the other. Walked away from it for a while to let it do its job.

A Corps of Engineers rep told me one time that prop dredging is illegal but working your way back to the channel at low tide is not,

Completely illegal here.
On a side note a couple weeks ago while fishing my boat would act up after high idling in gear for 30 mins or so. I need to hook up some diagnostic equipment, tie it to the dock and see of incandescent replicate the issue.

Kinda crazy no? Illegal to clean up a bit of shore swamp but totally legit to allow trawlers to shave the entire ocean floor out in sensitive fish habitats. Sort of like boat house permits. The story goes that they harm the environment and fish habitat yet if you want to catch fish? Toss a line near a boat house and hold on tight, the fish all love it there.
