Block differences and compatibility mercury 2.5 fishing motor
I have a 2001 Oring headed 200.
i have option to buy a 1994 head gasket 200 powerhead
will my intake, stator and flywheel work on the 1994 block?
Any other differences that may present problems during swap?
Thanks

Front half of the block should accept any 2.5 Intake , same with stator flywheel, just use your complete system. Unless it's a optimax

you will notice tha 'lectrics mounting bosses or gonna be different on tha '94.. it was a "switch box/coil motor 'lectrics.. 2001 is a 'lectronic" motor.. no switch boxes/cdms.. will need ta use '01 divider plate and etc.. jus look both over good and note tha difference in mounting stuff between tha two...………
