28 -30' Skater, Spectre, Motion, or AMT

Looking for a 28'-30 for cat with outboards. I live in orange county ca but run havasu and the river quite a bit. I would love something ocean worthy but mostly lake use. What do you guys have for sale. Opinions on brands would be appreciated and if there is a brand I'm missing and should look at please enlighten me.

    Thanks,

    Ross

Only 22ft. 2007 Eliminator Daytona. It rides and feels like a bigger boat. Built in same mold as the 25ft inboard Daytona. Dam is placed in mold 3ft forward of transom for the outboard model. I will sell ready for water with the twin 300xs motors or hull and trailer only.

Thanks however I would like something 28-30’. I would like to run to Catalina every now and then. I feel 28’ is minimum size. I would entertain a clean 24 skater or 25 motion.

    Cool

In my experience, the Skater boats have the best build quality and reputation short of the years with fuel tank issues. Todd Lamb is building the new Spectre boats and they will exceed anything you can imagine in quality, strength and finish. I owned a Motion and it was a mess to fix all the issues, so I sold it to someone who had more time than money.

Thanks for the info. It is always good to hear the real facts. How about the older specters, say 2000 up?

No clue. I would only share my actual experience. There are quite a few people who might chime in... But you'd find more info on a Spectre on a forum like Offshore Only... They've got an entire section just for each make and you'll get a lot of feedback there is no one here gives you info you'd need.

One major thing to consider is with Skater, you know you're getting a boat designed, built and tested by the offshore racing industry and they hold value when you invest to make an older hull updated to perfection.

No... they have been sitting at David Pou's shop for a year waiting for him to complete one of the motors or the Lower unit I dropped off.
