Seems strange, if this were the case any "traction control" would eliminate all over the hub props and surface application's.

    Question Over The Hub Examples

All of the ProXs displays had thru-hub exhaust. In fact, they're busy trying to develop plugs for Fury prop ventilation holes that the 2 strokes needed. I don't know how their software accounts for "slip" (surface).

I had read someone who bought a new Fury said the blades were different and figured that the design change was for more bite with the greater lowend torque of the new 4-strokes.

Is the adaptive speed control what y'all are talking about acting as a "traction control" and is it only on models with digital controls?

They all are I drive by wire when you get technical. On the traditional control rigged motors the potentiometer are just under the cowling.

I have a 200 Pro XS V-8 on a Tidewater Carolina Bay 20' with a 19 Tempest Plus 6200 rpm and 58 mph. I have not noticed anything strange when prop testing seemed just like any other to me.

Considering the price difference between a 200 and 300hp PRO XS, I'd say it is as you don't need the flash tool and can ship ecm to them and buy throttle body for about $1200 to gain 100hp.

I'm still waiting to hear that it is that simple before considering a 225. I don't need to be worrying about legal issues or insurance claim loop holes.

There won’t be any reason to mess with the throttle body. It is bigger than the engine needs and does not open 100%. The reason for needing a tech with a lap top is due making sure the engine reaches full load. The engine is only going to turn a certain rpm so you want to prop it to reach as close as possible to 100% load. These engines use the same pcm as the catalyst sterndrive engines and also uses a wide band o2 sensor
