Seneca Lake Battleship Run Fun

I participated in the 28th annual Rochester Offshore Powerboat Association's Seneca Lake Battleship Run this past weekend. We had 52 boats show up from 22 to 47 feet long. Although the weather was beautiful, the lake got a little bit snotty for the first two legs of the almost 70 mile run. How snotty? How's this for air? (Take a close look at the waves in the background.) The boat survived just fine. My son and I enjoyed more than a few Advil when we got back.

Looks like a blast, I’ve been wanting to come out west and do a fun run/, poker run. Let me know next time your gonna do one, we can have a little progression get together.

The next Battleship Run is the third weekend of July 2019 on Seneca Lake. (I'd have to look up the exact date.) You're more than welcome to sign up on the ROPA web site. There's also a thread on OSO about the run and I'll be writing up a "post-Battleship Run" post later this week.

BTW, if you go to the OSO post, you'll see a virtually identical Progression 24LD in a virtually identical picture. The guy that owns and drives it is the former owner of my boat. We went by the photo boat a few minutes apart and the photographer caught us in exactly the same pose.

Isn't it amazing how close to identical those pictures look? Even the photographer got them mixed up.

BTW, notice where the tabs and trim are set on both boats. (Tabs pretty well down & trim all the way in) That's a big clue as to how rough the water was.

the pictures are amazing, and yes I noticed the tabs and drives, I have the same tabs on my P22
