    ProXS 250 problems, need Merc tech in Jax!

    I recently moved to Jacksonville, Fl with my boat, a 19’ Reaction with 2008 Merc ProXS 250. Last time I took the boat out, i was cruising at 4200rpm and it reduced throttle by itself. It starts and idles normal, but won’t pass 1800rpm before a solid beep and it says “Warn Engine” on smartcraft gauge. Mechanic I met up here replaced oil tank inside cowling first and then TPS and neither one fixed my problem. I am in need of someone in or near Jax to diagnose and possibly fix it if my budget allows. Any recommendations?

    Check the shift interrupter switch on the shifter slide. Just disconnect the connector going to it and see if it solves the problem.

    disconnect the water in fuel sensor at the bottom front of the vst. See if that stops the alarm.

    If the 2008 still has dual tps just replacing one won’t fix it.

    Other than that a lot of stuff can kick on guardian
