E tec 250 powerhead on ficht midsection
I have a 250 ho etec powerhead i am considering buying, but i do not have anything to put it on. I can get a 250 ficht 2003 With a blown powerhead very cheap. Will the etec powerhead fit the ficht?

The 250HO is a 3.4L motor and uses a different adapter plate than a 3.3L Ficht. The exhaust passages are smaller on the 3.4. You will need to either modify the 3.3L adapter or get one for a 3.4L...

i just finished swapping to a 20" mid with my 225 (3.3L) I set mine on a complete mid from a '93 evinrude 140 and had no problems. You will need the correct adapter pate and inner exhaust housiing like Baja16 stated.

A local workshop has one in stock, it was replaced under warranty as it was seized. But it turned out it was only the flywheel that was jammed when that was freed up it was running again. But i got a very nice 250 ficht 2003 that has one cylinder seized almost for free so I am going that route instead.

You will need a set of e-tec lower pans and cowling as it will not fit under a ficht hood

I have same problem but opposite. 2003 250 powerhead and 250 3.4L etec adapter and exhaustpipe. Because nothing else is available. Does exhaust heat rise too much because 3.4l exhaust is smaller?

Yes it will fit as long as it isn’t a G2 starboard /starboard block engine that has the square bolt on. Cowling
