Thats my biggest complaint also its not rough water its the wakes from larger vessels on the river. I tend to not even bother going out on the river when i know its busy out there. At the end of the day its only a 22ft boat it can only do but so much. Thats one of the biggest reasons i started looking for a larger hull but the 22 isnt going anywhere she definitely serves a purpose and some. If you ever have the opportunity to ride with one of these known guys jump all over it. It helped me tremendously being able to see what it could and couldnt do based on experience. Its absolutely true of the saying the boat can take a lot more abuse than anyone in the boat can throw at it. By all means if there helping you keep them

I was told I didn’t need tabs on my pulsare 21 too. I put 9x12 bennett bolts on it and it’s like a different boat, I love the tabs.

I'm finally getting ready to install my tabs on my 22. I ending up going with Mayfair 22" tabs with the electronic indicators. They are pretty sweet! I was thinking about mounting them 3/4" up from the bottom of the hull? Does anyone have any input on the do's and dont's on this job? The instructions say to use 5200 to seal the tabs to the transom. In my past experience the 5200 is some pretty permanent stuff and doesn't come off easily. Online I read some people just use Boatlife? Any pics on pump locations or anything else would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking forward to drilling holes in the transom either. I may have a pro handle the drilling of the transom but I'm sure that will set me back time wise being the middle of the summer.

I've never put tabs on a go fast boat but I've done at least a half dozen off shore fishing boats. I always install them up 1/4" from the bottom of the hull and always parallel to the bottom of the hull so in effect they extend it. If you install them parallel to eachother they'll be slicing. The edge closest to the water will carry more weight and twist the tab (if it's flexible) and put more pressure on the mount.
5200 is a MF to get off. I use LifeSeal.\\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\///

What do you guys think of this spot on the transom? It will be 3/4" above the bottom of the boat and 3" to the left of the chine. Any pics or specs from others' boats would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
