Tanner park to Freeport Boat Run August 26th

The yearly Tanner Park boat run to Freeport Nautical Mile is coming soon. This year we will be doing the run in memory of another local boater and a good friend, Tyrone Bravo. Hes the son of Mr. Ted the old owner of the famous Muscle Boats home of the longisland Hydrostream dealer back in the day. Tyrone loved boating and going fast on the water. Hes been to many freeport runs in the past and enjoyed everyone of them. The run will be earlier in the season due to friends of Tyrone coming up from florida for the run as well. We will meet at tanner park in copigue around 11am. We will then float around and hang outside tanner waiting for one to show up. Around 1145-12 we will then head to freeport. There are many ways to get there so just follow the guys in front of you as long as hes inside the bouys. We will be going to for lunch. After the mile a few guys sill be going to the gull in babylon. There are some 5mph zones on yhe way to freeport so please obey all water ways there and back. This is the 7th year doing this run and ill to try keeping it going. So please again respect the waterways and law enforcement. Remember to have fun and ill see everyone there!!!!

This get together is for all. There will be a 30$ fee at the ramp unless you have a permit. These runs are very fun and alot of cool boats show up every year. Hope you can make it

The run is about a week away.We will be having lunch at Nawlins, its one resturant north or braccos. We did the event there 2 years ago and woked out great. They have alot of dock space but it fills fast so first come first serve. I will be calling ahead of time to inform the owners that we are coming full force and to make sure they have plenty of staff. We will get underway alittle after 1145am. Respect the water ways and law enforcement if you encounter any. Have fun be safe and see everyone in a week!!

Sundays weather is looking awsome for the run!! Low winds low humidity and sunny! Should be a awsome turnout. I will be touching base with everyone tomorrow afternoon just to go over a few things

Ok everyone so tomorrow is the big day. Tanner park to Freeport boat run. If you are launching at tanner get there early. The parking spots fill up fast. There is also a overflow lot by the soccer field next to the marina. Please be in your boat outside tanner by 1145am. Around 12noon ill give the signal and we can make way to freeport. There are a few ways to freeport the popular way is through the marsh lands and you end up in front of zacks bay area then take the channel straight all the way into freeport. OBEY THE BRIDGES. They are all 5mph... We should be arriving at Nawlins around 1230 1245ish. This is a Fun RuN and not a race. Pay attention to other boaters at all times. The 2mile straight away from tanner to the marshes is what splits the boats up. Faster up front then the slower in the back. Weather is looking good also. Have fun be safe and obey the 5mph zones. Awsome time. 28boats showed up. Alittle rough for us smaller boats but overall it was a good day. Thanks to all that showed. Cant wait till next year
