Need some guidance.
I have a 69 gw invader.
Having a hard time finding a 15 inch shaft motor. I know they exist it's just gonna take some time to find one. Anyone ever run one of these boats? What size motor and what kind of mile per hour did you get? Seems like there are lots of different engine routes to go. 50hp 2 cylinders, 3 and 50 4 cylinders. Seems to me like the 650xs would be perfect but they seem super hard to find. I have located a couple stock 60hp short shafts. What will make this go fast and not be to heavy? Any info on set up helps

Is it a 10 or15 footer? I have seen 10 with 75 rudes and 15 with up to 235 rudes.

Nice, well I just picked up a 1974 65 hp 15 inch shaft. Going to run that and see what I can get out of it. I'm hoping for 50. Not alot of info out there on motor mods. Not to sound like a newb but I don't race. What do you mean a pad? Changed the bottom of the boat?

It's a 10 foot rated for a 50hp max. But I ended up finding a short 65hp 3 cylinder. Not sure what to expect

I can't take credit for whole build. It was started by a couple buddies I ended up with it when original owner moved and lost room to store. This thing has had so much stuff done to it is insane, cut down 15" with exhaust relief holes, pad, slashwell delete, custom propshaft to run merc props even a set of carbs for methane (haven't tried yet) I put nose cone one moved motor up change seat to something to sit down in lower and a pile of different props. The boat drives very well and sets on pad easily and stays. It could use a little shot of nitrous to get out of hole it dips down kinda deep and loads the 26 yami. It runs low to mid 60's in 1000' and like said 72 best top end. Also I'm kinda fat lol so if you a skinny dude in it I'm sure 80 is very doable.
