Huge difference in price between the 300xs and 300r. If you plan to run twins, get a pair of nice 300x. Doubt you will like the 32 with a pair of xs's. Cant speak about the 300r's yet. If it were my boat I would run triple 300xs's.

I 100% agree on triple XS motors. We ran a 32A with X motors and it would run 96 consistently but never went into the triple digits. The new 300R should be a better motor then the X and will use a lot less fuel then X motors but they are pricey "only a few grand less then the 400R". The 32 will still handle well with 3, the XS motors are great on fuel, and you can find used ones out there for a reasonable cost. You won't believe the acceleration the boat has with 3.

I still say 3 in row makes go. I have had 2 cats with trips and they are a blast. Mine were all 2.5 race motors so fuel consumption was crazy but still worth it. You can get used XS motors for much less.

With the new 300RV8s... there is no way I would go triples when you have SO MUCH more torque to swing bigger props and more available RPM than the 400R Verados.
A 32' DW goes 120 with 300XS on short shafts with no where near the torque the 4.6L V8s have. These new motors are going to prove new prop tech & setup are king.
