Removal of steering arm
on a Johnson 2.6lt 235hp can i remove the steering arm without removing the powerhead ,by removing the upper and lower mounting bolts ,the tilt tube and the lower unit is that possible any help appreciated ,thanks very much

Yes... pull the lower unit, put on a lift ring, pick up the weight of the engine with an engine hoist, remove the 2 upper and 4 lower foreward facing mount bolts then swing the eng out of the way, pull the lower mount shoe off the bottom of the tiller and it will slide right out..
