leaks
Have a 1988 hydrostream vegas. got into some rocks and damaged the verey rear of the pad. Glass is showing and water is leaking through the damaged area. Entire damaged area is less than 2 square inches.
Any good ideas on how to fix it,at least well enough toi get me through the summer?
Any advice is much appreciated.

*warning* If you are running fast there is a lot of pressure on that area. Could cause de-lamination and disaster. I would skip the fast fix and have it done right. That said, some marine tex would fill the hole for now. Grind/sand it clean and let it dry. Apply some epoxy putty for a quick repair.

Any pictures? With the outside hull damaged, there should not be any water getting into the hull that needs to be drained, if there is you have more damage than just the outside glass, you damaged core and the inner fiberglass under the floor as well and will need some more though put into the repair. Not rocket science but you will be more involved as you will have to remove core and replace in that area. And when you get in there and it is still the original core, you know what comes next.....

Belzona 1111
Belzona makes a lot of almost unbelievable epoxies and related patch repair/coating products. Steam industry uses their products. Not sure if anyone uses it for hull repair aside from the big ships but it is probably a lifetime type patch for those who dont need to dig deeper. I've never used it submersed but I have used JB weld in some engine applications and it held up extremely well. I wonder if its suitable?Hydrostream dreamin
