    CDM ignition revlimiter?

    Hi

    Is it possible to remove revlimiter from 150 Saltwater OT945035 motor?
    Motor have CDM ignition and carbs.
    Ignition module number is: 3173 857185-A1

    I have a spare module now that I'm going to de pot and look into the rev limiter.

    Noup, I never found out how to do. Still unresolved issue.

    Ok,on top of the rear of the powerhead there are 2 four pin flat connectors,one side of each coming from the controller.The foreward wire (black with white stripe) on the rearward plug activates the rev limiter.Cut it or remove the wire from the plug and isolate it...no more rev limiter.Not sure of the cdm's limit,but they are good for 8000,at least,Chris

    Hmm..I tried that with my xr6 and it dudded the controller..but that was post regulator fire and I think other issues may have come to light after that. Only ran it briefly since the electronics were replaced. I"ll pull the wire from the connector and give it another go.

    thanks Chris, I’ll try that and at the same time finally fit those reeds and stuffers you shipped to me in Australia a few months back.
