I was looking into that one last night. With it being touch screen, does the screen get dirty and hard to see?

I have never had trouble with any of them (running 4 of them). They are nema compatible and come with inland charts pre-loaded.

The Garmin GPSMAP 741XS is indeed a solid chartplotter / sonar combo. I second that. The Garmin Echomap also comes in a 7" model, and is a good GPS / sonar. Believe the 73 is the 7" model: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/garm...tplotter-combo

I have a Raymarine Axiom 9, but it also comes in a 7" model. Great maps, fishfinding abilities and networking capabilities with other parts of the boat: https://citimarinestore.com/en/14-raymarine

Sonar technology has come a long way. Their function is at least comparable in salt and freshwater, but some of the more advanced sonar features, like DownVision, may not reach as deep as the regular sounder channel in saltwater.

Garmin GPS are probably the best ones in the market right now. Im currently using the Garmin Echomap Plus. Ive been using it for a few years now. If youre looking for other options, check out this site.
